Who This Is For

You Have Questions Nobody Has Been Able to Answer.
You Are in the Right Place.

You have questions. About your child who is struggling in ways nobody can quite explain. About yourself. Why certain things have always felt harder than they seem to for everyone else. About a diagnosis that has never quite fit, or a treatment that is not moving the needle the way it should.

You have been carrying these questions for a while. Maybe you have already tried to get answers somewhere else. Maybe you are here for the first time, and not sure what to expect.

You are in the right place.

What we do here is different from the start. Before we choose a single test, we sit down with you. We learn what you need to understand. We build the assessment around your specific questions. The result is a report written to be used. Not filed away.

Psychological or Neuropsychological Testing?

You Do Not Need the Right Word to Begin.

People reach out to us using all kinds of words: psychological testing, neuropsychological testing, a cognitive evaluation, ADHD or autism testing, a learning-disability workup. You do not need to know the right term before you call. Our psychologists are trained across all three areas of testing, and part of our job is helping you understand exactly what you need.

Psychological

Emotional & Behavioral

Mood, anxiety, trauma, and personality: the patterns that shape how you feel and relate to others.

Neuropsychological

Cognitive & Neurodevelopmental

Attention, memory, processing speed, and executive function, including ADHD, autism, and intellectual functioning. This is the testing many people mean when they say “neuropsychological.”

Academic

Learning

Reading, writing, and math, along with the specific learning differences (such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia) that can make school or work harder than it should be.

The full picture.

A comprehensive evaluation pulls from all three. These areas rarely sit in separate boxes: anxiety affects attention, and a learning difference can look like inattention. We look at how they intersect, and build the assessment around what matters most for you.

What We Evaluate

No Standard Checklist. Every Assessment Is Built Around You.

Every assessment at Centered Connections is built around your specific questions. The measures we use are chosen because they make sense for you — not because they appear on a standard checklist. Depending on what you need to understand, your assessment may explore any combination of the following:

  • Cognitive functioning
  • Academic achievement
  • Attention and ADHD
  • Executive functioning
  • Learning differences and Specific Learning Disabilities, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Emotional and behavioral functioning
  • Personality
  • Trauma-related concerns
  • Adaptive functioning

Your testing psychologist will guide the process. Starting with a real conversation about what is going on and what you need answered. And building your assessment from there.

We serve children, teens, and adults. Whatever the age, whatever the question, the goal is the same: a clear, complete picture of who you are, how your mind works, and what will actually help. We provide affirming, respectful care for individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.

How it Works

What the Process Looks Like. Start to Finish.

We know that starting the process can feel like the hardest part. Here is what it actually looks like.

It begins with a free consultation. A conversation about what is going on, what you are hoping to understand, and whether Centered Connections is the right fit.

From there you will meet with your testing psychologist before a single test is chosen. This is where your assessment takes shape. You talk through your history, your concerns, and your questions. Your psychologist listens carefully and builds your assessment battery from that conversation.

The testing itself typically takes place over one or more sessions, depending on the scope of your assessment. Whether you are an adult finally getting answers or a parent advocating for your child, we work at a pace that fits your life.

When testing is complete, you receive a comprehensive written report. It does not just describe what we found. It tells you what it means and what to do with it. Specific recommendations for school accommodations, therapeutic approaches, and workplace supports. Detailed clinical information to help your prescriber better understand what is driving your symptoms and make more informed medication decisions. And clear next steps in care.

Then we sit down with you for a dedicated feedback session. This is not a formality. We do not hand you a report and send you on your way. We walk through every finding together, answer every question, and we are not done until you leave with a real understanding of what this means for your life — and what to do next.

Pricing & the Superbill

One Flat Rate. No Surprises. No Add-Ons.

Centered Connections is a private pay practice. That means we do not bill insurance directly. And it means nothing about your assessment is determined by what an insurance company will or will not authorize.

Our comprehensive assessment is offered at one flat rate that covers everything. The initial consultation. The meeting with your psychologist. All testing sessions. The written report. The feedback session. There are no add-ons, no surprise fees, and no line items that appear after the fact.

We want the financial side of this to feel as clear as everything else. Pricing information is available in our FAQ, and we are happy to answer any questions you have.

If you would like to submit a claim to your insurance provider, we can provide a superbill upon request. A superbill includes the diagnostic and procedure codes for the portions of your assessment that may be eligible for reimbursement. For more detail on how superbills work and what to expect, see our FAQ.

The Next Step

The First Step Is Just a Conversation.

The first step is a free consultation. A chance to talk through what you are looking for and how we can help. No pressure, no commitment, no forms to fill out before anyone will speak with you. Just a conversation.

If you have questions before you reach out, our FAQ is a good place to start. And if you are a clinician looking to refer a client, we would love to connect with you too.

We would be glad to walk alongside you through this process.
